I'm so Happy you're here.

Lorelee Scipione, BS,MSPA-c
Integrative Health Specialist

I’m a Board-Certified Physician Assistant and Functional Medicine Practitioner who also holds a Diplomate Certification in the specialty of Integrative and Anti-aging Medicine from the American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners. I have over 20 years of experience, and yes, I really do believe that your story – your actions, your life, your history – is intimately tied to your health.

After practicing traditional medicine for several years, I  became disillusioned by its limitations. In fact, after the birth of my third child, something felt off. I can still clearly recall one visit to the gynecologist, sitting in nothing more than a paper drape after my post-partum exam.  We were chatting about life and I just remember saying- “I don’t know what is wrong with me.  I have such a great life!  I have a wonderful husband, my children are thriving, I enjoy my job, I have close friendships, my family is healthy, and yet I feel OFF…is this normal?” The doctor (whom I adore!) kind of chuckled and told me it was normal at my age and to be expected after having a baby...and offered a low-dose antidepressant as a “fix.” I declined and tried to put it out of my mind. Maybe it was…normal. Maybe life was meant to be this way as we age but I thought, this can't be it.

Thus, my journey began...I started investigating alternative solutions and eventually stumbled upon the concept of functional medicine.  It was such an aha moment...a lightbulb just turned on, it was like that first delicious rainfall after a season of drought. I think you get the picture. My functional medicine provider and eventual mentor spent time with me discussing how diet, lifestyle, emotions, DNA, and environment all worked together to create my condition – and how we could start to fix it. It was the first time I heard the words adrenal fatigue and suboptimal thyroid function. I had hope.

It was so nurturing, so intuitive. And all I could think of was: this is why I went into medicine in the first place. I threw myself into learning everything I could about Functional Medicine, Holistic Healing, and wellness, eventually becoming a diplomate with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. I have seen over the years, working with thousands of people, that when we feel heard, when we truly look at the whole person through a broader lens, going inside out, we can then find healing. It is so much more than just a prescription, it is Healing without Medicine.

I want to do everything I can to partner with you in your walk towards wellness. Chronic conditions have so many roots that need to be unraveled – so you need as many resources on your team as you can get. It really does take a village to get optimal health. I love that functional medicine is rooted in science, yet leaves room to explore alternative solutions.

Together, we will start to untangle some of the knots that are keeping you sick. I want to learn your story, all the parts of your life that make you who you are. Your experiences, your emotions, your diet, your genetics, your environment, your stress – it all adds up to a unique picture of you. That picture is the first step into examining what is truly causing your symptoms – and how to fix them.

I’m a mama, wife, entrepreneur, avid gardener, lover of animals, social advocate, and wellness and life coach who has a passion for helping others live more purpose-driven, healthy, lives. Why? Because I know that when more of us step up and claim our stories—the ones we actually want to be living—then the world becomes a better place. 💙
